The Hampton Inn & Suites Puyallup is looking for a part-time Night auditor to join our team. We are managed by Puget Sound Hospitality which owns and operates five hotels in the Puget Sound area.

The details
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Location: 1515 South Meridian, Puyallup, WA 98371.
Commute/Transportation: We are located on a major bus route, and we offer a discounted annual ORCA pass. If you prefer to drive, we have free employee parking on site.
Benefits: Our benefits package is available to full time employees after they complete 60 days of employment. This package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D.
We partner with Colonial life to offer supplemental insurance options such as accident, short-term disability, and whole life during our annual enrollment.
We have a 401(K) retirement plan available to all employees who are 21+ and have been employed for six months.
We offer Hilton employee room rates as well as Hilton family room rates that can be used based on availability at any Hilton location worldwide.
Work shifts: This position is specifically an overnight shift.

Responsibilities

The daily job duties
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. 
  • Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. 
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times. 
  • Initiate and complete the End of Day process. 
  • Run all reports as required for Food and Beverage audit. 
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily. 
  • Balance the day’s work. 
  • Maintained cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures.
  • Maintain Front Office computer system operation.
  • Fulfill all Front Office functions between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. 
  • Handle and follow through on all guest requests daily from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. 
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain proper record keeping (i.e., log books, etc.).
  • Be familiar with all policies and house rules. 
  • Complete the initial direct bills daily and place them on the Property Accountant's desk; Attach all folio/banquet check back-up to the bills. 
  • Maintained radio contact with other employees during the entire shift. 
  • Have a working knowledge of security procedures. 
  • Ensure employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees. 
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report.
  • Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and observes prescribed work, breaks, and meal periods in compliance with standards. 
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code. 
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.  

Skills & Qualifications

The Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.  
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic computer and POS system functions.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
